| The cameras capture a person in different perspectives, which are then layered by the software on one plane and displayed on the monitors. However, these perspectives constitute only the “Present” image. Also layered in the montage are images of the same space — in a different temporal dimension — of people who were there ten minutes, an hour, or even a day before. Like the viewer, these people are suspended in the “Present,” looking up at the multiple perspectives of themselves, hence combining “Past” and “Present.” This temporal-spatial experience throws a spotlight on the person, thus celebrating their presence, while empowering them as “content” with the forcefulness of their own image. |
